Stay: Festive Hotel
Date: 6 ~ 7 September 2015, Sunday to Monday
Day 1: Exciting day @ Universal Studio Singapore (USS)
It was the beginning of the 1-week school break for the kids in September.
Mummy happened to get a good offer from auntie Lipheng for hotel room in Sentosa for 2D1N. And so we decided to bring the kids for a short trip, including spending a day at USS. I also managed to get USS tickets at 50% off the price! So lucky!
We started the day with a very early breakfast. Papa and me discussed, in our last 2 visits we did not complete many rides, since first visit we were busy with kids as they were too young. And second visit, we spent too much time queuing for rides as we arrived quite late in the afternoon. So this time we wanted to bit the crowd at Universal Studios and try to complete our visit by later noon. So we can go to the hotel earlier to enjoy it. We even did some research beforehand on the rides that we wanted to go for, and made a plan on the sequence of the rides.. popular rides will go first, like Puss in boots, Canopy, Mummy and Transformer rides. And our aim was to catch all the rides that we did not catch in the last 2 visits except for Human and Cyclon.
As we need to leave our baggage at the hotel concierge before checking-in, we left home at 830am, in case it may take long at the processing. But to our surprise, everything went very smoothly, we arrived at Festive hotel at 9am, and completed our baggage drop in 5 minutes. By 905am, we are all done.
As USS only open at 10am, we made our way slowly to the entrance. As this is our 3rd time to visit USS, we are not so excited to take photos at the entrance. Just 2 pictures and we made our way to wait at the entrance.

Probably bcos it is a early Sunday morn, it was less crowded than usual |
It was a unusual Sunday. It was not crowded at the entrance of USS that morning. We thought it was probably due to many people got free tickets given out by USS to go for the SG50 family night event.
While waiting at the entrance, we thought the USS staff was handing maps to us, but she suddenly asked if we would like to be the first family to help to open the park for the day. We were told that we will be given express passes if we helped. And for that reason, we agreed to help. :P
So, our lucky family got to enter the park way before the gates are opened. We were being ushered to a waiting room at the customer service area. And then given the instructions what to do and then was awarded 12 express passes for per pax per ride. :P
At 5 minutes to 10am, we were told to stand in front of the gates and announced to the morning crowd our rehearsed welcome message: "Hi Everyone! We are the Chong's family. Lights, Camera, Action!"
Look at our free photo taken with Puss and the host at the entrance.

Say Hello to Mr Minion |
First ride of the day: Far Far Away Land, Puss in Boots roller coaster.
We are the first people in the queue. 0 mins waiting time.
 |
The only shot we got on the ride before we moved off.
It was quite an exciting ride & I dare not hold my phone in case I dropped it.
|
As Lost World only opens at 11am, our next stop was the Mummy ride. Actually the kids were quite afraid to try this ride as we heard it is quite scary and dark inside. But somehow the kids were brave enough to take on the roller coaster challenge. It sure was dark and creepy inside and the ride exciting!
No bags, nothing handheld allowed during ride...so no allow photos inside

Just go for the Accelerator since there is no queue |
 |
Completed the ride in 5 mins
|
Our next ride was Transformer. Wanted to complete this ride before lunch. The queue was long by the time we reached, waiting time 45 mins. So we decided its time to use the express pass. :P And no waiting for us..just a long walk through the tunnel to the ride.

Eating dinos and noodles |
After lunch, Ally and me wanted to do the Canopy Flyer, but Ashley did not want to ride on it. So while we went for it, and papa took Ashley to ride at Dino Soarin (only 5 mins wait).
The queue sure was long at Canopy flyer, so we used another 2 express passes here.
We completed the ride in a short 5 mins or so, but little did we expect the ride to be so scary..because the feeling was like we were hanging in the air with legs dangling, and may fall any time.

Took some photos along the way to collect hotel keys from auntie Lipheng |
 |
Next up, Waterworld, we long wanted to watch it but missed out in last 2 visits. We sat in the red zone as we don't want to get wet. |
The Shrek 4D movie was up next since we saw that it was only 10mins wait when walked pass. Its our 3rd visit to this ride, so not much excitement..but we thought...just for the aircon since its noon time and the weather was really hot.
 |
Ash wanted to ride on the "Dragon rollercoaster" aka Enchanted Airways
while Ally did not want to. So papa took Ashley while Ally & me waited in e shade |
 |
We came back to Treasure hunters as it was down in the morn.
The q was long so we thought might as well use the last of our
express passes as we are coming to the end of all rides |
 |
Last but not least, yet another show to cool ourselves down |
 |
Hiding away in the Sesame street shop while papa
queued for the "When I grow up" show |
 |
My dear kids, what do you wanna be when you grow up? |
