This post combines 3 times visit to the East of Singapore -
Once by cycling and 2 times by hiking.
Purpose was in search for the wood-spotted owl family which was sighted in Pasir Ris park
A misty layer above the grassland
First visit - on the way by bike @ Halus wetland

Did not find the owls but saw someone taking picture of this eagle
and told us the eagle might have scare the owls away
Second visit - several spotting except for the owl
Beautiful sunrise spotted on the bus along the way
Fowls up on the tree
All colors of Jungle fowls had been spotted
Entrance to the mangrove area
Family of otters
Hornbills were found but still no sight of owls
Took bus to Tampines Quarry since we could not find any owls
Clear blue waters spotted in the quarry
Exploring..
Many fallen trees found
Scrambler tracks found
Third try - this time we start our search from Carpark C as we saw posts on FB
that's where the owls were spotted recently
Saw a middle-aged couple staring far and trying to capture using their phone - got it!
There were 2 on the same tree, but one of them is back-facing us
Owl Juveniles were on the next tree, but too far to have the shot taken
Sleepy owl yawning and closing eyes many times
Still sleeping
The otters family getting onto dry land to play
