Our friend's daughter bought the table, so we must have a go at it.

20211127 GBB revisit w more discoveries

 It started with quite sunny weather..

and then dark and heavy clouds started to shift in.

The plan was to go in search of the bottle trees, world of plants, cactus,

the newly setup kingfisher lake, as well as marina barrage and the breakwater at Marina east park.

But the trip was cut short by the heavy rain.. a thunderstorm indeed.

First stop - Serene Garden (Q)

While heading to find the bottle trees,

we found the bonsai garden, and many beautiful water features.

Lovely heart-shaped leaves along the path

The sky started to change as we arrived at the Meadow (F), where the bottle trees are.

Looks like we cannot escape from a thunderstorm

Wow.. first time to see bottle trees.

There are thorns all over the trunk of the younger trees.

They were setting up the Christmas event

This fruit is interesting, but it cannot be eaten

It started to rain as we got under a shelter

We opened our umbrellas and struggled through the rain to get to world of cactus - Sun Pavilion

The rain stopped for a while and seems like it's gonna return.

the Chinese Totem

We were going around the Kingfisher's lake - the latest attraction of GBB

Capturing this lightning was not easy, amidst the rain and fear of getting struck by thunder

We decided to cut short the hike and headed to MBS instead
