Bukit Batok hillside park
Read from a blog that when entering from behind the park,
you can spot the opening easily upon alighting from bus stop.
But we did not see the opening and instead a construction site was in front of us.
We went up cutting the edge of the construction without searching for the opening. 😝
Challenging route from behind the hill
Walked to the most right end of the hill (if from the front, its the left)
and found an abandoned hut. Look at the love hate message left behind.
Bashing around again
Found the stone steps, but not yet the "tori gates"
And the old well
On the move again..
And was distracted by this other broken shelter
The tori must be somewhere.. but as there were slopes around us, it
difficult to cut through the thick forest
Finally we followed someone and climbed up a slope and some thick vegetations,
and came to an opening.
Tired after going up and down several times, and as it was getting late,
we decided not to look for the tori..
That's the entrance for easy route. We will be back to look for the tori.
Took a bus to our next stop instead of walking, as it was getting late
Checking-in to Checkpoint 2 finally
Malayan colugo
Someone was trying to take photo of this bird.
Look who's so lonely?
Monkey eating durians
Walked along Lor Sesuai
The old Bukit Timah fire station
And we added the other checkpoint to our list - CP3
Lunch is nearing - we almost could not make it at Obba Jjajang as there were too many people.
We decided to get a queue number and eat something light nearby first.
Our appetiser
Soon it was our turn
We love the food! 👍
