Meet up at Buona Vista mrt instead of Dover mrt,
since we are taking circle line.
Thanks to Dover Forest Resource site, we have a map of the trees that we wanted to visit
It took about 12 mins walk from Buona Vista to the east entrance.
Getting ready before getting into the forest
Entrance just behind the 3 arrows
The path is very wide and quite easy to hike in 👍
We arrived at the most photographed tree in the forest
- Waringin (Ficus benjamina)
Look at the roots growing all over the tree.
Red-stem ficus variegata
Tree seems broken at 2 parts 🤯
A giant uprooted fallen tree
SK spotted the first "horse tree", the Ficus Virens, from the back
Either we have to cut through the tall grass or we exit to Ulu Pandan pcn.
We chose to exit to the pcn because we found a "walked" path out.
Heading to second part of the forest, which is so called the Western part.
We first explored along the small stream.
Then enter from here for more amazing trees
Upon entering, we found the other taller "horse tree"
Here's another tree.
We met a group of people who were also in search of this tree.
During the search, I described the tree as the many roots-tree.
The critically endangered Grey Fig (Ficus virens), an amazing tree.
We really made the full use of the time we had with the tree,
with sooooo many many photos, front and back.
The wells were nearby
Just squeeze through to get out la!
Brunch - We ate what we didn't get to eat the last time.
followed by dessert
