Nopi picked us up at 9am, and he brought another guide.

As we have until afternoon before our flight at 640 Indo time, we requested to visit a mangrove park and then a shopping mall.

On the way to shopping mall, the guide brought as to check out the batik in the local souvenir shop.

It was close to 12 noon as we arrived at Tunjungan Plaza,

the biggest shopping mall in Surabaya, with 6 Plazas and at least 5 levels for each Plaza.

Happy times ended very quickly. At 3pm, Nopi picked us up.

As Independence day is coming soon - 17 August, there were many sales of the national flag

The nice guide, Sanam sent us these videos after we returned home.

We did not have a chance to view the blue flame as the government do not allow us to climb Ijen from 2am due to covid restrictions. If climbed earlier, we would be able to view it.

Ijen is one of the two mountains in the world that we can view this one of a kind flame, the other mountain is in Utopia.
