BKK 2015, June 18~22 (5D4N) - Day 2

Visit to Siam area:- Siam Paragon, Siam Centre, Siam Square One

Breakfast time at Novotel Platinum. We could eat together with the kids as they can dine for free in the morning breakfast.

Yummy international buffet breakfast at Novotel Platinum hotel

After a fulfilling breakfast, the kids were so looking forward to explore the swimming pool. And since there was still time before starting our itinerary, we agreed to let the kids spend some time at the pool.

Beautiful infinity pool at Bar 9 (Level 9)

It was cold in the morning, hence the kids did not stay long at the pool. Our next destination was Siam Paragon, where the kids enjoyed at Kidzania while mummy went shopping. Kidzania will be in Singapore soon, I heard. But we wanna try out the place in Bangkok since the ticket prices are cheaper here. Weekday prices for kids 850 baht & for adults 425 baht.

Since it was early, and Siam Paragon is within walking distance, we decided to take a slow walk to our destination (about 15 mins). We arrived way before the opening time (10 am), and had to wait at the entrance. Kidzania is located at level 5 and can only be accessed from North lobby.

Long queue at ticketing area - Kidznia

The initial plan was to leave the kids with daddy at Kidzania for 2 hours, but I guess there are too many activities at the place 2 hours is not enough for them. And the kids ended up staying in the place for 4 hours. Zara, Mango, H&M, since these are similar shops we can find in shopping centres in Singapore, and the prices are not much cheaper, I completed filtering through the shops that I wanted to visit in 2 hours. And the next 2 hours was spent checking out the snacks at the basement food court, having my lunch, and visiting the neighbouring Siam Centre.

Yummy Pork and fish sticks for lunch and my shopping loots

Siam Square One - Hello Kitty House
(Song ringing in my head...Hello kitty..kitty..kitty..kitty..kitty..)

Saw this interesting cat deco just outside of hello kitty house

After running up and down in Hello kitty café, the kids became tired and refuse to go for the next stop at MBK. So we decided to head back to our hotel. We managed to hail a cab just outside the café.

So it is back to Novetel where the kids took a rest. And we decided to have dinner within Platinum,  Yum Saap @ level 6. We did not take any nice pictures of the food.. as we were too hungry.

At night, we went to the night market at the street in front of Palladium. There were several stores selling bags, purses, key chains, passport holders etc.. buy one and get your name tagged on for free. The kids set their eye on the colourful passport holders and they sat down in front of the store to choose the letterings for their holders.

Cute passport holders for the kids, and key holders, purse, card holder for my friends
