That's Taiyo, the bus stop |
We took a one-day package with Funtasia for trip to Gangchon Rail Park, Nami island and Petite France. Believe me, its so much easier to travel by tour bus to these places rather then having to transfer buses/trains on our own. Plus it had rained for the whole of the day, and we really appreciate that we have a tour bus to run back to and take us to our next destination amidst the heavy rain. Of course, transport and ticket fees all included.Waiting for our bus to arrive in front of Myeongdong Macdonalds |
We got the tickets from our tour guide cum driver. 3 of us to 1 bike!
Bikes parked neatly under the tent before we set off
Enjoy the view before the ride. It was a long wait as there was a lot of instructions given, but all in Korean.. so its better to walk around and explore before the ride.
Before the ride, start with a visit to the washroom and a cup of coffee to keep warm.
Our first view on the rails..
Tunnel # 2, lighting up |

Tunnel #3, colourful lights |
The cold made us hungry
Ending the bike ride with hot & yummy tteokbokki & coffee |
Train ride back to the park to board our bus |
Welcome to Nami island |
We took the path on the right in order to get to the famous metaseqoeia lane |
Little garden along the way |
Beautiful Maple trees.... |
Hardly anyone around because of the rain |
We reached the pond with more maple trees |
Time to take a break..but watch the time, we only have an hour or less on the island
It was really a rush back to mainland..and we realised we were back last to board our bus and everyone was staring at us when we got on.. ops |
Anyway, Petite France was up next. Do Min-joon, we are coming!!
Again we were last to get back to the bus (although we went back earlier than the designated given time). It takes an hour plus to get back to Seoul, luckily we could alight at Myeongdong and right in front of our hotel.. but it was dinner time and we were hungry and tired.
Although we have spent the whole day outdoor but the itinerary has not ended. Next in the plan was Dongdaemum for late night shopping. Actually it was still raining and we thought to go for indoor shopping. Yong wanted to rest so only Theng and me went ahead.
No photos at Dongdaemum..only photos of our loots. Although most of the clothes sold are winter wear but we could get some t-shirts on sale and some nice accessories. :)
