In the morning, as we need to wait for Gladys' arrival to Japan, we took our time to have breakfast from Family mart.
Harajuku, 原宿
Our travel for day 2 included Harajuku, Ikebukuro and Shibuya.
At Harajuku, we visited Meiji Jingu (shrine) and Takeshita Dori (shopping).
From Shinjuku sanchome, we took train to Meiji-jingumae.
Phyllis & me started our shopping at Gap, while the rest went to shrine then followed by shopping.
And we fixed Line shop as meeting place at 4pm.

Harajuku eki - See how crowded at 10 am in the morning |
The forever crowded Takeshita Dori |
Before shopping, let's have lunch at Yoshinoya, 吉野家.
It actually tastes a lot better than in S'pore. Yum! |
Time for crepes in Harajuku. The queue wasn't long for the first stall that we saw. So we immediately bought one to try. It tastes.. not too bad.

Line time! |
Ikebukoro, 池袋
At 4 plus, we hurried to our next stop, Ikebukoro, where we met Noi's cousin.
As promised she brought us to have dinner at Mutekiya, which many bloggers have talked about.
Cousin told us Mutekiya is one of the best ramen she has tried in Tokyo (much better than the famous Ichiran 一蘭 and Ippudo 一風堂). There is only one branch in Tokyo.
From Ikebukoro station, we walked about 2 streets to reach the place. At around close to 5pm, a long queue was already spotted winding down the road beside the restaurant. It took us about 45mins wait before reaching our turn. Before that, a waitress came around to take orders from us, but she will only take order for all that are present.
In the restaurant, I did a rough count, there are less than 20 seats, no wonder the long wait. And as we have 6pax, it is not possible for us to sit together. Upon being ushered in, the food arrived within minutes. And slurp!! The ramen tasted really good and the soup was really tasty.
This is a super must try!!
