Day 3: Barefoot tour, Home Sweet Home
Mei Ling preparing our breakfast
Was so fed up with the mozzies buzzing in my ears that this was how I ate my breakfast
Butty cat looking on as the 2 wash the plates
After breakfast, it's time for the short guided jungle trekking.
Only 2 from our group joined the tour, while the rest waited at the dining areaGinger flower
Common plant.. how can we not recognise the pandan?
If you have a family with elderly and young kids, then this house is suitable.
(the bark & root of 黄牛木 is often used by tcm as medicine)
This house is used as meeting area and quarters for the staff
Climbing higher as we move on
Most of the Gen1 houses made of bamboo could not withstand the long period
in between where noone lived, and have collapsed.
Looks like the management is slowly rebuilding the houses.
This used to be the dining area before the covid period used with the Gen 1 houses.

From here, we were asked to take off our shoes to walk
Cinnamon tree - rub hard on the bark to smell the cinnamon scent
The yellow patch in the centre is monkey's poop.
We were told these bees do not sting unnecessarily, unless harmed.
The bees only move in a straight line into their hives. If we cover the hive,
the bees cannot find the way back
Seeds of the Hopea Sangal
According to the tree whisperers, this tree likes us to hug it.
So do these sisters trees

Tongkat Ali plant

3RM to enter
This place is more like a swimming pool rather than a waterfall..
not very worth to pay to enter unless to swim
We made sure to have a photo with Mei Ling before leaving
Ja ne.. Mata Atode Rainforest Treehouse
