With Noi, Jean & her sister, and WLC.
Had asked Jean along because it seemed a chill hike for just one day.
Was a little surprised that she agreed to go though 😅
We will be heading to Seri Alam blue lake in Johor, which is quite scenic.
Meet up at YCK mrt at 615 am.
A lady was late for 20 mins and we moved off only around 640 am..
In the background, train bridge under construction?
Arrival at the start point around 9.30 am.
The bus alighted us at the end of a road within a housing estate at Jalan Gunung.
The leaders then led us to do warming up before the hiking starts.
There were 3 local guides (all in this photo), one to lead, and two to sweep.
Our big group..
Start off at 9.40 am. Already very hot when we started.. seems like the route is not a very shady.
Cheok (in yellow), whom we got to know during Berembun trip, also joined the hike.
Passing by Bukit Tiz - we'll head there in the later part of the hike
A short briefing.. then off we go
Nice tunnels of trees @ Seri Alam Tunnel
Spotted many rubber trees..
In the Stream Garden area
Diverted up to Shell town.
It's called "shell" because the rock is shaped like a shell.
Very hot to take a break in the open, so we hid under the only short tree we found.
Something moved in the trees up there.. is that a cute dusty leaf monkey?
Water break and photo time

It was 2 hours later as we arrived at the blue lake
Under the shade again - snacking
We rested about 40 mins here before moving off.

View of the blue lake from a higher level
Air Terjun Ratu - another rest point for us
Arrived here around 12 noon, the leaders decided to let us have lunch here.
Again, we had 40 mins before making our way.
We took out ponchos as it looked like it was about to rain.
At Lunchu View, we saw another lake they called green lake.
Up Bukit Lunchu, 175 m tall
Green lake

At 2 pm, we arrived at Bukit Tiz (128m).
It seemed we were asked to take a rest again.. We were actually asked to stop several times and were delayed as there was a lady who had leg pain and could not walk any further.
She did not make it up Bukit Tiz, somewhere along the way up she had stopped and the sweepers managed to call for a scrambler to help transport her down to seek medical aid.
We had a long hour here.. see sister's husband preparing lunch
Saw Bukit Tiz Shrine while heading down
It took us like ~25 mins to get down and head back to the bus.
The bus took us to a nearby swimming pool for wash up, while waiting for the leaders to get back.
After a delay of 2 hours, we arrived at Mid Valley Southkey around 5 pm.
The leaders did not want to disappoint us so they let us have dinner but a shorter shopping trip.
The return time will be at 8 pm instead of the initial 7 pm.
Minions promoting their movie
Our hike was from 9.30 am - 3.30 pm.
Distance: 8.74 km; Hiking time: 2 hrs 18 mins
Overall, it was not a difficult hike, just that the weather was too hot as there is not much shelter along many parts of the hike.
