D1 Arrival in Jogja, Prambanan Temple

Val and I talked about wanting to go to Yogyakarta since the last Bromo trip.

I was searching for events on SG hikers and found the trip organised by WLC.

So I reached out to Janice and got the trip brochure.

Itinerary

31 July, 2024 Wednesday: Flight 

Around 5.30 am, we had gathered at the airport for attendance taking

Had breakfast after checking-in at transit

Flight time was 820 am, boarding around 8 am

Gotto take a bus to board the plane

Arrived 2 hrs 20 mins later

Waiting for everyone to gather

Heading for lunch upon arrival

Spotted a shopping mall.. seemed we were heading there.

Jogja City Mall

The mall is like a European castle

We decided to have local food at this place

Advised by our team leader to get bread for next morning breakfast.

We can see many graffiti walls along the way

Only one itinerary for the day, and arriving at the place

Hindu temple protected by UNESCO - Prambanan Temple

Entry fee @400,000 IDR per adult (~S$33)

Very sunny.. luckily still got some clouds

From the temple exit, it was quite a distance to walk to the bus

Adhisthana Hotel - our hotel for the 4 nights

We need to climb 3 floors to our room

At 6 pm, we headed out to join the group for dinner

The local food was nicely decorated and tasty.

The chocolate drink was also interesting.
