D1 at Genting & Bentong

Many thanks to the couple for organising this trip. It was a really fun trip!

We started to move off around 11 pm on Thursday night, in order to avoid traffic jam in the morning.

Arrived at the bottom of Genting at 6 am.

Genting and Bentong are closely situated within Pahang.

Since Genting is the nearer of the two places, we'll head up Genting first.

Sam woke us up to have breakfast.

The tower is the Resorts World Awana Hotel. We'll be heading there next.

At Resorts World Awana hotel for wash up and later to do the Awana Bio trail

We asked and were told to go to the basement to do the registration.

No advance reservation required, just be at the hotel counter by 9 am in the morning to reserve and make payment

The number of people who has walked this trail.. our group included

Only 20 mins to live if bitten by the Malayan Blue Coral snake

We can only trail the Clearwater way by buggy, as it seemed a black panther had been lurking around.. and the staff had seen it.

We were lucky to spot the shy dusty leaf monkey

The bare land at the hillside does not belong to Resort World, but another company,

which is converting the hillside into a mountain bike trail

These are old dormitories converted to orchid glasshouse and cafe

By 10.10 am, we completed the trail.

A little disappointed, cos all we see are banners during the short walk, and not really see much of the nature in the trail. The buggy is fun though.

10.30 am Arrived at Genting Premium Outlets ✌

Could not find it.. but instead bought the drink

At 12 noon, somebody was hungry and hurried us to stop shopping 😂

Then we took a wrong turn and headed onto the highway to KL with a U-turn very far away..

A traffic jam was spotted on the opposite side of the highway.. if we u-turn back, it will take hours..

The nearest exit we can go for lunch was Ampang, which was 45 mins drive from Genting.

2.15 pm by the time we arrived.. hungry.

We just choose any stall with less people.

And quickly ordered any food..

3 pm. Hope we will not be caught in traffic when driving back

1.5 hrs to reach Bukit Tingi

Google guided us to route 68 so we avoided the highway E8 further jam and no need to u-turn back.

We saw a waterfall by the roadside, which was not indicated on google map

5 pm as we arrived at The Waterway Villa, Bukit Tingi, Bentong

It was some distance to walk to the villa, so the buggy sent us to room.

(Somebody does not know that he can drive the car up to the villa.

The Villa is right at the middle of the durian farm on top of a hill

It's a simple room, but clean

In the middle of a durian farm, we must try the durian.

For 75 rm a box.. we find it a little expensive.. just buy a box to try.

Back to villa.. Time to enjoy our durian
