Ohayo gozaimasu from woodpecker.

Having breakfast while enjoying the view

Couple "heart"

Friendship "heart"

Look at the dark sky

Yes, I think it will rain very soon.

Why does Andy hate Jean?

The free sauna

We waited for the rain to stop and then its time to check-out.

On the way to Dai Sekinrinzan,
we made a wrong turn and discover this quiet corn fields.

The couple is at it again.

Dai Sekirinzan is very near Cape Hedo, 辺戸岬.
As we were out later than planned because of the rain, we decided to give Cape Hedo a miss.

Arriving..

Free parking available.
The weather is so fine after a morning rain.

Enter from here.

We intend to take the Churaumi Ocean view and then the Subtropical route and then walk directly back to the main entrance. So starting from Energy cabin, where the bus will alight us, we will take the yellow route from points 4~11, then the green route from points 1~5.

Take the shuttle to get to the Energy cabin.

"Monkey King" rock

The Energy Cabin.

We arrived at the Churaumi observation deck, and able to view Cape Hedo from here.

In the subtropical route, we wanted to see banyan trees? And we saw more than 3 of it, huge and smaller ones.

Back at the main entrance.

It was almost 1pm as we approach the main building.
It took us less than 2 hours to complete the hike.
We bought some snacks and drinks at level 1 while deciding whether to go to the initially planned lunch venue as it closes at 2pm.

Finally, we decided that we should just eat at the restaurant at level 2 and head straight to American Village afterwards.

Fureai, ふれあい食堂 なんと屋
Purchase the meal using the vending machine and the meals come with free flow of salad.

Nice sea view from the restaurant.

The food is not bad, plus we can eat lots of salad.

On the way, our next next destination is American Village, where our next hotel will be.

Taking a break.

After a 2 hour drive, we arrived at American Village.
It was slow, as we did not take the expressway, and the speed could not any faster than 50km, plus the roads are mostly single lanes before we reached town, making it difficult to overtake cars.

La'gent Hotel Okinawa Chatan (It's a new hotel opened in June 2018)
Here is the only hotel which requires us to pay for parking - it costs 500 yen to park until the next day (We need to place the parking slip they provided on the dashboard).
We booked 2 Japanese style bedrooms for a change.

Ally's restaurant

We can get a welcome ice cream and extra toiletries from the lobby.

Here's our room.

La'gent tuktuk - available from 3:15~7:45pm
to get to either the village or sunset beach

Tetrapod rocks - designed to prevent coastal erosion

Dinner time - we wanted to eat pizza

Mega Donki Ginowan at night to shop and supper at Mac - both opens 24hours.
