20210911 Gillman Barracks, Wessex, Tanglin Halt

A morning visiting to the areas which we can see were mostly
occupied by the British in the past.
We know by the names of the roads and also by looking at the design of the houses.

In short 5 mins walk from Labrador mrt, we arrived at the side entrance to Gillman Barracks

Oh.. we love that Hopscotch wall

Found the Balinese doorway near the old Timbre at No. 9A

The place that I wanted to eat at most after they shifted from Sembawang

Getting to Canterbury road in search for the swing

Crossing Alexandra Arch, and passing by Hort park to get to Canterbury

Look at Alexandra Point clearly reflected in that building

Houses along Hyderbad Road of European background

Arrived!

Many heritage trees spotted

And we found the swing on the right of the above field

A house with a chimney

Big and ripe jackfruits growing on this tree

Going down to the greenway to get to Wessex next

To check out the mosque on the right of the corridor, we spotted Tanglin Halt

But we are visiting Wessex first (and Tanglin Halt later for brunch)

Drinking??

Drank so early in the morning??

I love treehouses, even if it is a simple one

Many saga trees around

Fierce white cat in the neighbourhood, no one gets in it's way

31 blocks and 2 hawkers in Tanglin Halt will be en bloc soon.
