20210919 Dempsey Hill & Botanic extension

 Weather: Cloudy and rainy in later morning

Met the group at 7am at Dhoby Ghuat mrt and took a bus to Dempsey Hill.

We alighted at "CSC Dempsey Clubhse" bus stop

Keng found the restaurant that she wanted to eat at - Huber's Butchery

Continue walking around. We plan to eat at Tiong Bahru Safari, which opens at 8am.

Skyview @ Dawson looks close by

There's a swing in every park

Found the abandoned Rabbit Hole

Oh.. we love the rabbit hole so much!

It started to rain, hence, we ran very quickly across to the bakery 

After breakfast, the rain had stopped. And exploring continues..

Next, headed to Botanic Gardens which is opposite Dempsey Hill

Cutting through the Learning forest to get to the Gallop extension

It started to rain just as we entered Gallop extension.

Raincoats are useful at this time, no need to hold an umbrella to take this photo

OCBC Arboretum - Gallop House No. 5 was not opened

We have a place to play hide and seek while getting away from the rain

Found the giant chempedak.. the rain has stopped earlier.. but seems coming again

Jungle fowls are found in every park in Singapore, not necessary swings

Head up to the Botanical Art Gallery

We can enter the art gallery

Walking into Gallop Valley

Headed opposite to Queen's Road for lunch

We spotted this and were attracted by the food on the menu

And the interesting deco in the restaurant

So wasted to hang this up on the wall

The drinks and appetiser were served first.

Everyone loves their drinks, esp the avocado is so rich and tasty

Cha Siew was a small plate but melts in the mouth

Mushrooms

The crispy vege was very nicely fried

The fried black sauce udon tasted so good!

Highly recommended.
