24Jun-1Jul JP w myGal - Bamboo forest, Umenomiya hydrangea, Kinkakuji, Teramachi

Was woken at 430am when gal woke to go to toilet 😪
Couldn't fall back to sleep as I was too excited to get to the bamboo groves.
Also, we couldn't sleep because of the beautiful colors outside

Prepared 1-day pass (bought it at Kyoto station the day before) for travelling later.

Out of hotel around 530am, and it was already very bright

Leaves from Ginko tree

Lots of crows hanging around

Comparing to the afternoon the day before, see how quiet the street

This is not yet the bamboo forest ya

Finally arrived.. quiet bamboo groves at 6am in the morning 😉

Impatient look 😝

Went back and forth a little as we had a small quarrel.

Turn right and we see this

Turn left and walk up the slope behind this sign for the Observation deck
Met an ojisan who told me the view here is subarashi 😆

Heading down to the river next

Togetsukyo Bridge

Visiting another forest before heading back to hotel

Back to hotel for breakfast at 730am.

The soya milk was oishii

Making our way after checking-out

We were heading to Umenomiya-taisha.
Had some first hand view of hydrangeas when we passed by a house

Wait for bus 28 at the bus stop near Togetsukyo Bridge.

Arrived

2mins walk to the Taisha

It took a while to find the garden as the gates look like it was locked.
As we were carrying our luggage, it was difficult to bring it around while sightseeing,
so I left the luggage in a corner outside the gate.
My gal was so worried the bag will get lost and stood by the luggage so that I could look at the flowers in peace. 😍

Kinkakuji 金閣寺 next.
The golden pavilion is a popular place hence its gonna be crowded.

Entrance fee: 500 yen

We would be taking different angles of the pavilion under the hot summer sun 😅

Lunch nearby - Okonomiyaki

Headed to Shijo Teramachi to get into the shade and stay out from the hot sun.

Human made

Yup, this was how our bags looked.

Breaktime

Finally, we met friend & family for dinner at Kyoto station

And headed for her house thereafter.
