Embarking SG for my favourite country again. It's Japan again in 2 months. 😝
Bringing elder on the trip, we were going to visit my good friend in Kyoto.
T1
Got a last minute request to get a gift.
The smelly had a chance to fly.
Yawn.. both were sleepy as it was already past sleeping time.
Resting while waiting for flight
On board 150am flight on this Saturday morning.
No choice, only porridge
Arriving in Tokyo
Taking JAL requires transit at Tokyo, and go through customs check is a must once arrived at Tokyo.
The JAL staffs were standing by while we waited for our luggage.
Given the short transit time, JAL provided a great service by giving us free train tickets to transit from T3 to T1
Once arrived at domestic, we asked around and found out we need to drop off our luggage
at the special baggage counter.
We boarded at last call because we thought we had time to go to the washroom.
Before taking the flight, I happen to find out that we would be able to see Mount Fuji on this flight.
So I went to change the seats. We need to sit on the right side of the plane, and would be able to see it 10-15mins after take off.
Finally taking off after circling the runway for some time.
First sight of the tip of Fuji, surrounded by clouds.
Thank you my gal for letting me sit in the window seat 😍
Bye for now.
Arrived later than expected in Itami due to late take off earlier.
Taking 130pm limo bus to Kyoto Hachijo exit
When we see Toji temple, it means we were going to alight soon.
Leaving our luggage at the locker at Kyoto station,
and bringing only a small bag for 1 night stay at Arashiyama.
Taking San-In Line to Arashiyama
Our hotel is just beside the JR station
Checking-in to our ryokan.. yeah!!!
Almost 4pm when we head out to explore the shopping street.
Hungry.. eat some croquette at first
For my little one 😘
Long queues spotted in this shop
Long queue was spotted for this drink
Yojiya's only café can be found here.
We happened to see the train gate closing
Showing gal how crowded to get to the bamboo groves.
We stumbled upon The Chiri-Men Craft Museum while on our way back to the hotel.
It closes later than the other shops around, at 6pm.
Gachapon shop near to hotel
Buying my favourite drink
As our room doesn't come with a bath, we need to go to level 1 for bath
Noone 😝
Kaiseiki ryori dinner next
Loots for the day
Dare not buy a lot as we only have a small bag.
