D2 Jomblang Caves, river tubbing

 31Jul~4Aug2024 Yogyakarta

Very early at 6 am from Adhisthana.
We'll be heading to a cave, and followed by river tubbing adventure.

The roads started to get rocky and bumpy as we were arriving.

Arrived after 2 hours

Still clean, and all ready to go

Jomblang cave - We're gonna rappel down to get to the cave

Just waiting as we were early

Helmets on and everything tight..

All ready to go

Briefing

This the whole group getting down to the cave for the day

Waiting for our turn

Our WLC group was number 1 in the line, the first couple to get down

Waiting for the rest to get down

Waiting on the side while more and more people head down.

Headlights on.. as we will be heading deep into the dark cave.

No rays yet when we first arrived. Long queue to take photos even though no rays..

Wet, muddy and slippery in the cave.. no wonder they asked us to put on their boots.

One slippery step and one leg got into the mud

Too slippery.. in the end, everyone's legs got covered in mud

Then the rays came!!

I did not see the pics.. so do not know how to pose like the rest who attended the zoom meeting.

On the way out.. we saw a snake..

and a frog

Queuing and waiting for our turn to be pulled up.

Count how many people helped to pull us up..

Simple lunch provided by the Jomblang tour

Short drive to our next adventure after lunch - Kalisuci river tubbing adventure

Along the way, we realised the river is not deep at all, and the water is not running..
So we were all manually pulled or pushed by the guides 😂
Some of us even have to kick or pull each other's tubbing to move.. 😂

The formation next

Dragonfly on other Grace's arm..

At the end of the river, we need to climb a flight of stairs up to the top

Some managed to find some fruits for themselves while waiting for the lorry to pick us.

Next stop - the reverse pyramid made by a local farmer - Watu Giring

The leaders requested the local guide to bring us to the nearest lobster place for dinner 😋

Arrived back near hotel around 8 pm.

II Tempo Del Gelato
We decided to go for dessert 😋 instead of heading back to hotel

Wow.. there are sooo many choices

Dustbin is cute too
