23-31Oct2025 Jeju&Busan
Blurry sunrise from hotel on a Wednesday morning
We left hotel at 730am, in search for our breakfast first.
Car rental pick up will start at 830am, & thereafter, we will visit the west of Busan,
and late afternoon, the east of Busan.
We took a while to find Miryang Sundae Dwaeji-Gukbap - Haeundae Branch
as the Naver map gave funny directions..
30mins later, we arrived at the restaurant.
Someone must have coffee every morning 😅
Lotte Rent A Car Haeundae station @ B1 of Hotel Haeundae.
Car pick up at 830am.. but we arrived 840am and there was no one to serve us.
Head to B5 to collect the car.
Checked.. a Hyundai Avante, a compact 5-seater car that will accompany us for 2 days.
Moved off at around 915am.
First stop was Gamcheon Culture Village (arrived at 1020am)
Contemplated on whether to visit the village in the west during the day or night (with lights), but as I also wanna view the sunset on a sky capsule in the east, so village got scheduled to the morning,
and sky capsule in the evening on the same day.
Parked for free at a nice carpark very, very steep up the slopes..
Nicknamed the Machu Picchu of Korea, where refugees used to live during the Korea war.
Ops.. the tall building in the center somehow spoiled the view
From the carpark, on the way to the toilet, we found "the stairs to see stars"
Nope, did not climb it as I do not want to see stars
Walking onto the main street
Book staircase
And the people starting their shopping too
Walked up to little prince, but already super long queue..
But we found a way to skip the queue 😁
Love these colourful art on the street
New little prince next, we climbed many stairs to this sports building.
Then take the lift from the carpark to the roof top for the moon prince.
There was a queue of about 5-6 people, so some of us queued while some start to take photos.
One last observatory
Spot the bored husband
Head to Cafe Wooin to pick Kent, but we need to order a drink each if we wanna go up.
Lovely view from the top of the cafe
The husband of a shopping queen 😂
Heading back
Yondusan Park/Busan Tower/Gukje Market area for lunch and walk around
Gukje Market
Dolgorae - I wanted to eat the soondofu again
Gwangbok-ro Fashion Street
Since we didn't visit the park, decided to cut through to visit toilet and back to the carpark
Charging to Cheongsapo next...
Booked tickets from 2 platforms, the direct web & klook.
Our schedule for Sky Capsule was at 5pm. Sunset was estimated ~540pm.
However, as we will need time to queue from the allocated timing,
it will be good to buy earlier timing tickets and queue and be in time for sunset by the time we board the capsule. We board the capsule from Cheongsapo to Mipo.
Our car was parked in front of the restaurants in Cheongsapo.
So we will take the Beach train at 6pm from Mipo and back.
The beach train at level 1, Sky Capsule at level 2.
The couple will have a capsule to themselves, and the 3 of us to another.
We boarded around 520pm.. and immediately blessed with beautiful sunset view
It will take about 30mins to get to Mipo.
Cheongsapo Daritdol Skywalk
Souvenir
Wow.. even more beautiful later.. it was 30mins after sunset
We wanted to take the beach train at 6pm, but somehow they do not let us enter the train & the train left.
So I decided to bring us to get the nearby salt bread.
Jayeondo Sogeumppang (Salt Bread)
The most crispy salt bread ever!
We queued early in case the train leave early.. 625pm it was about to leave
It will be 15mins ride
Found our seafood dinner place along the stretch
The old lift-style parking at our hotel
