D7 Mt. Everest & back to 日喀则

西藏之旅13-22June2025

We couldn‘t sleep well in EBC as "predicted" by Tenzin.

Around 6am, I opened my eyes.. had been stirring in bed and not slept much.

As sunrise was around 7 am, I thought to might as well head out early to see if we would be lucky

(pray we can see the peak, as well as sunrise)

As I head out around 630 am, found a few of us from the group were also ready to head out.

Very lucky!! Clear and sharp, we see the Everest peak!!

We did not follow when the group visited Rongbuk Monastery (again for me)

Back to our bus to continue our route to 日喀则.

Himalayas still covered by clouds so we did not stop to view.

A little delay after stopping by a rest area.

It seemed that a high ranking officer was passing by and Ten Zin told us we might need to be stuck here for hours as they will close off the roads just for these officers. 😦

Luckily the officer left soon after.

By 730 pm, we arrived at our dinner place, which is included in the tour package.
