The only activity we had in the day was to do a via ferrata.
It's a mix of hiking, scrambling, climbing and mountaineering. Commonly known by the Italian ‘via ferrata’ (meaning iron way) due to the initial usage by the Italians.
As it will take about 5 hours to drive from Montreal to Saguenay, our reservation for the
activity can only start in the afternoon.
We left very early, at 5am in the morning and enroute to a nearby rest stop for breakfast.
At 715am, we were already eating at Mcdonald's
Our reservation was at 130pm where a guide will bring us along the via ferrata.
We booked the intermediate route for 4 hours
Saguenay river - we will be climbing along the river
After signing the Waiver form, we put on our gear - helmet, harness and two carabiners on stretch cords, and we were off on our adventure.
At this point, our guide teaching us what to do.
Believed this the route we climbed
Here's something from the internet
Reached the ending point quite late at 630pm.
By 7pm, shops were closed and we could not find a place to have dinner.
Managed to buy 4 cup noodles at a nearby convenient store before they closed for the day.
It took us another 3 hours to drive to the hotel in old Quebec.
Hotel Royal Palace - does not have enough staff to serve hot water or even has a kettle.
We could only eat the little snacks we have to us and go to sleep.
