22Apr~6May2023 Around Kyushu in 2 weeks - day 2
Making our way from Tenjin to Huis Ten Bosch (HTB) in Nagasaki.
Will be spending a full day in HTB.
Heading to the bus terminal to take a limousine bus to Huis Ten Bosch.
Tickets had been reserved and bought in advance ($24/pax)
Nishitetsu Tenjin Expressway Bus Terminal is at level 3, we needed to look for bus stop no. 4
Bus stop No.4
Packed breakfast to eat on the way. The ride to HTB will take about 2 hours.
Seems like we were arriving
Did not regret taking the bus instead of train, the bus stop was only 3mins walk to our hotel,
whereas train was 9mins walk. In addition, as we were carrying large luggage, we have saved the trouble we might have gone through during transferring of train and reservation of luggage space.
The theme park is also only few minutes walk from our hotel
Hotel Nikko Huis Ten Bosch
On the way to the theme park after dropping off our luggage.
It's another sunny day.
Huis Ten Bosch -
theme park that mimics a Dutch village.
We bought tickets in advance from klook to get a better full-day ticket deal.
(Anyway, we can't buy directly from their website as we do not have Japanese credit card).
Exchange for the ticket using the QR code provided by klook.
Irasshaimase
Our first stop was the Bear museum
We were a little distracted by the Canal cruiser (they happened to have a schedule now),
that we forgot we were headed for the Windmill at first.
Walking around a bit lost
That's the glass museum
Looking for the lunch venue, wanted to eat Sasebo burger, but google map brought us to the wrong venue, guess the point was not mapped at all.
And then just as we were trying to walk to the right path, we saw the Dam burger!
After queuing for 30mins or more, we finally get to eat our Sasebo burger
Kawaii Tulip
Going up to Domtoren observatory
We were at 80m height
Next, we have to head back to the windmills before it get dark
Then the umbrella street
The first three-storey carousel in the world
Going for a ride
Ferris wheel next
Taking a break before the ride
Cutting through a rose garden before getting to the ferris wheel
Lights up from 630pm
It's dinner time - Cheese Fondue @ Cheese Waag
Yummy food
Since it got dark after dinner, we started to see many beautiful light illuminations
And then we found something even more magical and beautiful!
It was very windy at night, although we wanted to rush back to
the hotel, the place was too beautiful to let go
We shopped a little at the souvenir shop while trying to get water and yoghurt.
Getting through the linked gate to get back to our hotel.
The babies going to bed.
Good night
